【摘要】:Althoughmanytechnicalpapersaddresstopicsimportanttoefficientandaccuratesamplinginvestigations(DQO''s,studydesign,QA/QC,dataassessment;seeGuidesD4687,D5730,D6009,D6051,andPracticeD5283),theselectionanduseofappropriatesamplingequipmentisassumedoromitted.Thechoiceofsamplingequipmentcanbecrucialtothetaskofcollectingasampleappropriatefortheintendeduse.Whenasampleiscollected,allsourcesofpotentialbiasshouldbeconsidered,notonlyintheselectionanduseofthesamplingdevice,butalsointheinterpretationanduseofthedatagenerated.Somemajorconsiderationsintheselectionofsamplingequipmentforthecollectionofasamplearelistedbelow.Theabilitytoaccessandextractfromeveryrelevantlocationinthetargetpopulation,Theabilitytocollectasufficientmassofsamplesuchthatthedistributionofparticlesizesinthepopulationarerepresented,andTheabilitytocollectasamplewithouttheadditionorlossofconstituentsofinterest.Thecharacteristicsdiscussedin5.3areparticularlyimportantininvestigationswhenthetargetpopulationisheterogeneoussuchaswhenparticlesizesvary,liquidsarepresentindistinctphases,agaseousphaseexistsormaterialfromdifferentsourcesarepresentinthepopulation.Theconsiderationofthesecharacteristicsduringtheequipmentselectionprocesswillenablethedatausertomakeappropriatestatisticalinferencesaboutthetargetpopulationbasedonthesamplingresults.1.1Thisguidecoverscriteriawhichshouldbeconsideredwhenselectingsamplingequipmentforcollectingenvironmentalandwastesamplesforwastemanagementactivities.Thisguideincludesalistofequipmentthatisusedandisreadilyavailable.Manyspecializedsamplingdevicesarenotspecificallyincludedinthisguide.However,thefactorsthatshouldbeweighedwhenchoosinganypieceofequipmentarecoveredandremainthesamefortheselectionofanypieceofequipment.Samplingequipmentdescribedinthisguideincludesautomaticsamplers,pumps,bailers,tubes,scoops,spoons,shovels,dredges,coringandaugeringdevices.Theselectionofsamplinglocationsisoutsidethescopeofthisguide.1.1.1Table1listsselectedequipmentanditsapplicabilitytosamplingmatrices,includingwater(surfaceandground),sediments,soils,liquids,multi-layeredliquids,mixedsolid-liquidphases,andconsolidatedandunconsolidatedsolids.Theguidedoesnotaddressspecificallythecollectionofsamplesofanysuspendedmaterialsfromflowingriversorstreams.RefertoGuideD4411formoreinformation.1.2Table2presentsthesamelistofequipmentanditsapplicabilityforusebasedoncompatibilityofsampleandequipment;volumeofthesamplerequired;physicalrequirementssuchaspower,size,andweight;easeofoperationanddecontamination;andwhetheritisreusableordisposable.1.3Table3providesthebasisforselectionofsuitableequipmentbytheuseofanIndex.1.4Listsofadvantagesanddisadvantagesofselectedsamplingdevicesandlinedrawingsandnarrativesdescribingtheoperationofsamplingdevicesarealsoprovided.1.5Thevaluesstatedinbothinch-poundandSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasthestandardunits.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisguideoffersanorganizedcollectionofinformationoraseriesofoptionsanddoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofaction.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgement.Notallaspectsofthisguidemaybeap......
