【摘要】:TheBarcolImpressorisportableandthereforesuitablefortestingthehardnessoffabricatedpartsandindividualtestspecimensforproductioncontrolpurposes.Beforeproceedingwiththistestmethod,referenceshallbemadetothespecificationofthematerialbeingtested.Table1ofClassificationSystemD4000liststheASTMmaterialstandardsthatcurrentlyexist.Anytestspecimenpreparation,conditioning,dimensions,ortestingparametersorcombinationthereofcoveredintherelevantASTMmaterialspecificationshalltakeprecedenceoverthosementionedinthistestmethod.IftherearenorelevantASTMmaterialspecifications,thenthedefaultconditionsapply.FIG.1BarcolImpressorFIG.2DiagramofBarcolImpressor1.1ThistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofindentationhardnessofbothreinforcedandnonreinforcedrigidplasticsusingaBarcolImpressor,ModelNo.934-1andModelNo.935.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninbracketsareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothistestmethod.
