【摘要】:Thispracticefulfillstheneedforastandardizedsystemforidentifyinganddescribingthetreadpatternfeaturesoftiresthatarecharacteristicofintermediatestatesoftreadwearshortoftotalwearout.Thisdescriptivecapabilityisespeciallyimportantintestingprogramsdevotedtothedevelopmentofimprovedperformancetires.Itisalsoimportantinassessingandevaluatingtiresafterperiodsoftypicaltireusage.1.1Thispracticeprovidestheinstructionsandnomenclaturetoevaluatethewearfeaturesofthetreadpatternonatireforsomeintermediatestateshortoftotalwearout.1.2Atiremaybecharacterizedbycertainworntreadpatternconditionsthatarecollectivelyreferredtoas"irregularwear"features.Definitionsforthesefeaturesaregiveninaspeciallogicalandconceptualsequence.First,basictreadpatterndefinitionsaregiven.Then,additionaltreadpatterndefinitionsdirectlyrelatedtothebasictreadpatterndefinitionsaregiven.Understandingthesesecondarydefinitionsrequirestheknowledgeofthebasicdefinitions.1.3Basedonthetermsofthisdevelopedsystemoftreadpatterndefinitionsordescriptions,asetoftreadweardescriptionsispresentedthatencompassesbothregularwearandirregularwearfeatures.1.4Thishierarchicalarrangementproducestheaccurateandconcisedefinitionsneededtoevaluatethecomplexirregularwearconditionsoftires.1.5SeeFig.1fortreadpatternfeaturesorcharacteristics.SeeFig.2andFig.3fortypicalillustrationsofregularoruniformandirregulartreadwearfeatures.
